"Christopher Holman is an American organist who specializes in music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Since winning first prizes at the Albert Schweitzer Competition, he has performed as a soloist throughout North America and Europe, released two recordings, and has been published in Oxford University’s journal Early Music. He is also the Editor of the journal Vox Humana, and Director of Musicology for the Bach Society Houston. Most recently, he has appeared at the BachFest Leipzig, National Convention of the American Guild of Organists, Eastman Rochester Organ Initiative, and International Organ and Early Music Festival in Oaxaca, Mexico. Thanks to a fellowship from the Frank Huntington Beebe Fund, he is now researching and performing on historic organs throughout Europe while based at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland. He studied with Robert Bates and Dana Robinson at the University of Houston and the University of Illinois."
