was born in Innsbruck (Austria) in 1985. He studied piano with Bozidar Noev (Innsbruck), Gerhard Oppitz (Munich), and Pavel Gililov (Salzburg), and organ with Edgar Krapp (Munich). Schöch has been the recipient of many prestigious awards, including the Brigitte Fassbaender promotion prize, the Richard Wagner Society scholarship in Munich, 1st prize at the International Piano Competition "Franz Schubert" (Rousse, Bulgaria, 2007), 1st prize at the International Organ Competition "August Everding" (Munich, 2008), 2nd prize at the International Franz Schmidt Organ Competition (Kitzbühel, Austria, 2010), and the Gasteig Cultural Award (Munich, 2011). He has performed as soloist with well-known orchestras, such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin, and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared at many prestigious festivals, for instance Richard Strauss Festival Garmisch, Osterfestival Tirol, Eppaner Liedsommer, and Vienna Jeunesse. As organist he has performed in Munich (Herkulessaal, Gasteig Philharmonic Hall), Leipzig (Gewandhaus), Vienna (ORF Radiokulturhaus), Montreal, and Nuremberg, and in the cathedrals of Passau, Speyer, Mainz, and Merseburg. His CD releases include many recordings of piano concertos, as well as the complete piano and organ works of Julius Reubke (Oehms Classics). Since 2015, Schöch has been teaching organ at the Innsbruck Conservatory.
