Bergen Orgelsommer - Gammel mot ny orgelmusikk i variert programkonsept

Ingrid Elisabeth Berg Tobiassen fremfører et variert program med musikk av orgellitteraturens største komponister.

Ingrid Berg Tobiassen
was born in 1983 in Sweden and grew up in the village of Tonstad in the south of Norway. She studied for both her teaching (piano) and organist (kantor) diplomas at the Grieg Academy in Bergen, where her professors included Audun Kayser and Karstein Askeland. Ingrid completed her Mater's degree in organ playing at Musikhögskolan in Piteå (Sweden) in the spring of 2011, where she studied with Hans-Ola Ericsson. Here her Master's project focused on Torsten Nilsson's Crucifigatur seen from the performer's point of view. Ingrid Berg Tobiassen is currently based in Karmøy where she holds the post of kantor at Torvastad Parish Church. She also performs frequently all over Norway (Bergen International Festival, Bodø International Organ Festival, Norwegian Organ Festival, Stavanger's Fartein Valen Concert Hall, Oslo Organ Summer etc.), Sweden, Germany, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (Abendmusik in Berner Münster in 2012). From an early age, Ingrid has had a fascination for plainchant, which is reflected in her programme for Bergen International Organ Festival. The Norwegian composer Henrik Ødegaard's piece A solis ortus cardine, is based on a Gregorian hymn, and is written for her. It was first performed in Oslo Cathedral in June 2016.
