Hans-Ola ericsson studied music in Stockholm and Freiburg and later in the USA and in Venice. Most influential among his teachers have been Klaus Huber, Brian Ferneyhough and Luigi Nono. Prior to moving to Canada in 2012 he taught at Luleå University of Technology/School of Music in Piteå in Sweden for twenty-ﬁve years. He was named permanent guest professor at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, Germany in 1996, and he was named to the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in 2000. He has concertized extensively throughout Europe as well as Japan, Korea, the USA, Russia and Canada.
